| My nephew is a Star Wars fan(atic) and loves the starships. He is fascinated with the design and appears to be a future Engineer in the making. I got this for him and he loves it. Great for bedtime. |

| I got this toy for $10, and I think that's about what it should normally be worth. It's a really simple slide projector that shoots still images (about 24" wide) onto the wall. Shooting onto the ceiling produced very blurry images. There is an audio CD included that narrates, with a few space-y sound effects. It reminds me of a book on tape set, where there is a beep to tell you when to change images. My kids had lots of fun with it for about 2 days, then it got set aside for Hot Wheels. |
It's ok for the right price

Bought this just before Xmas for ten bucks while it was reduced. It doesn't do anything wonderous and functions pretty much as the other reviewer describes. There is no automatic movement of the short supply of images. You are prompted to slide them along by instructions from the accompanying CD story.
Will not have much play longevity but at the right price is fine if your child is a star wars fan. Looks cool too. |
The ceiling show is GOOD ON OCASSION.

My six year old enjoys putting on the show for a change. But, I have seen him use it just two or three times
in his first month of ownership.
Everything works as expected. An audio CD comes with the projector with a very good narration.
It is kind of a waste, in my opinion, to have a slide projector which only shows one show consisting of three slide strips (eight images on each strip).
But, then again my kids have plenty of toys that do less.

Glorified Flashlight

| I do not know why I expected more from this, but it was one of the worst presents I bought my kids this year. The first one arrived DOA. When we got the replacement, I was suprised at how horrible the quality of the slides were. There are only three slide bars so it is limited on re-play value. It has become a makeshift Bat-Signal as the slides were wrecked after a day of use. Don't buy this, buy a flashlight instead. |
